I doodle.
I have always doodled.
In school it helped me to remember what the teacher was talking about when I drew that…
On the phone it helped me to not wander in my head.
As a counselor it can help me to keep focused on what people are talking about in session and often the doodle is exactly on topic.
Portions of this painting are from a session in which a client was talking about things being too big for them to handle….the rest is pure imagination.
Because it is so odd and different from what I generally paint- I snapped a pic to my 3 best friends from college in a group chat and one of them texted back
“Poor Little Pluto Never Stood a Chance”
A great line from a John Prine song.
